WWE WrestleMania 29: COMPLETE PREVIEW, Predictions, Opinion, Social Media and more!

This Sunday, the epitome of sports entertainment that is WrestleMania comes LIVE from the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. It's the biggest event there is on the WWE calendar, the one night that shapes the face of the WWE. The cliches are only fitting to describe such an event, and this Sunday it may truly live up to being The Grandest Stage of Them All.

At WrestleMania, the stakes are high. Who will prevail? Who will forever etch a legacy in the Showcase of the Immortals?

The WrestleMania 29 Set

Wade Barrett defends his Intercontinental Championship vs. The Miz in an 'Interactive Pre-Show' match

From a rivalry that has been simmering for numerous Wednesday nights on WWE Main Event, things have quickly boiled over and escalated between The Miz and Wade Barrett.
This Sunday, the two look to settle their differences, as they battle for the Intercontinental Championship on the WrestleMania 29 pre-show, streaming one hour before the grand spectacle of WrestleMania. The two where in many heated discussions, but all was to epitomize during a Triple Threat on RAW, when Wade Barrett defended his title in a Triple Threat match against Chris Jericho and The Miz, after stealing a victory off The Miz. It left The Miz distraught, and left him wanting to seek retribution. And when The Miz made Wade Barrett tap out in a non-title match on RAW, the match was confirmed. The Miz will get his one-on-one shot at Barrett, and both superstars seem to have done their homework, with scouting on commentary. However, The Miz may go into the match disadvantaged, as he defeated The Prime Time Players in a handicap match on Main Event, but that may result in him not being 100% by the match. Barrett seems pretty confident that this will allow him to have an advantage in the match.
OPINION: I was surprised that this match has been scheduled for the pre-show, this Tweet sums up my opinions and the opinions of many wrestling fans.
PREDICTION: I think that The Miz will defeat Wade Barrett, so The Miz will have a stable role in the midcard. Meanwhile Wade Barrett will pursue bigger objectives.

It all kicks off on the WrestleMania pre-show, with superstar interviews and of course this title match! Watch it LIVE on YouTube, WWE.com, Yahoo!, Facebook and the WWE app at 6pm ET (USA) and 11pm BST (UK)!

Chris Jericho looks to teach Fandango a lesson as he makes his debut in a match where Veteran squares off with Debutant
Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
When you have a man like Chris Jericho who has been in the industry for many many years, you become a target. Jericho, a veteran, steps in the ring with Fandango.
For weeks, Fandango has teased his WWE debut. But the one main reason he hasn't debuted is the fact that no-one can pronounce his name correctly. When he interrupted Chris Jericho in a backstage interview, Chris Jericho was to make several whacky pronunciations of his name, including "Fandingbat" and "Fandoogle". This was to ultimately lead to a match being scheduled between the two. Fandango attacked Chris Jericho numerous times, including costing him a match on SmackDown. Chris Jericho had enough, and after getting one up on Fandango, he went straight to RAW Managerial Supervisor Vickie Guerrero to schedule this match. The two are set to collide on Sunday, but Fandango goes in with the advantage, after a savage attack on RAW to Chris Jericho. Jericho has the veteran experience, meanwhile Fandango is fresh and his style is unknown. This should be an interesting contest.
OPINION: Chris Jericho is a veteran in the business, this match should help Fandango be established as a talented superstar, and this should be a springboard for his career. Everyone has a tremendous amount of respect for Jericho, as he helps to develop new talent and increase their popularity. This match should do the same.
PREDICTION: Fandango will pick up a clean win over Chris Jericho, and this will be the start of many big things for his career while changing the opinions of many fans about Fandango.

Will Fandango's debut end in a loss? Or will he defeat Chris Jericho on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

Tons of Funk team up with The Funkadactyls in an Eight-Person Mixed Tag Match vs. Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins
From just a rivalry between the tag teams of Rhodes Scholars and newly-named 'Tons of Funk', the divas have got involved, and thus, we have a HUGE mixed tag match for WrestleMania.
The WWE Universe truly thought that they saw the end to Team Rhodes Scholars when they announced their disbandment months ago on SmackDown. However, when behemoths Tensai and Brodus Clay teamed up, Rhodes Scholars once again found themselves a common enemy (or two), and found themselves teaming up once again. The Funkadactyls where always supporting Tons of Funk, meanwhile the recently-returned Bella Twins joined forces with Rhodes Scholars, and found themselves more to the disliking of the Funkadactyls. On numerous occasions, it was in fact the males of each faction to stop the fights, as tension boiled over between The Funkadactyls and The Bella Twins. Both Rhodes Scholars and Tons of Funk have squared off in tag team matches likewise to the Funkadactyls and Bella Twins, but these two rivalries are intertwined on Sunday with a huge tag team match.
OPINION: This match is of course being used to contain some of the assets in WWE that revoke a reaction. WWE want Tons of Funk with the Funkadactyls to perform on their way to the ring, meanwhile Sandow may have some time on the microphone to also gain a reaction. However, this may be a decent strategy by WWE to book some of the superstars, but this is the match that should be on the pre-show, as more of an attraction. WWE's booking of it on the main card is understandable, because they can evoke some reaction for the younger audiences, who are less likely to tune into an online pre-show. However, I would rather this in a pre-show than the Intercontinental Championship match.
PREDICTION: Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls will embarrass Rhodes Scholars and The Bellas so the younger audiences are happy and then there will be more dancing etc.

These tag teams may have battled in the ring, but at WrestleMania, the score will be settled. Will Tons of Funk leave dancing with The Funkadactyls? Or will Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins teach another lesson?

Leviathans of Power Battle, as Ryback and Mark Henry collidePower. Underestimated by many, maybe. But when you are talking about two guys such as Ryback and Mark Henry, EVERYTHING is blown in to greater proportions.
Ever since his arrival in June 2012, Ryback has truly proved that he is a forced to be reckoned with, especially on the grounds of strength. On the other hand, you have Mark Henry, a man who holds the title to "World's Strongest Man" and has been in the WWE for years, plenty of time to prove it. The WWE Universe were electric, when the two came face to face for the first time ever on Old School RAW, when Mark Henry entered as Ryback exited. It was to become a show of strength, where each would show their dominance, and strength. Then, the rivalry was to take another level, when Ryback vs. Mark Henry was scheduled for SmackDown! but The Shield interfered, and then Mark Henry capitalized to attack Ryback. The match was made official the next week, Ryback even delivered a colossal clothesline to Henry. A bench press challenge between the two was not enough to prove who was the strongest, so the only way we will find out at WrestleMania.
OPINION: This is a fresh feud, and a very intriguing and exciting match. Mark Henry deserves a single one-on-one match at WrestleMania and he finally has got it. Meanwhile, there is no better stage for Ryback to Shellshock Mark Henry. This should one HUGE battle. Henry deserves to win, but a loss could be catastrophic for Ryback's WWE career.
PREDICTION: I have a feeling (or maybe hope) that Ryback will lift up Mark Henry and Shellshock him. I think that WWE know they can deal with a Henry loss easier than a Ryback loss, and keep Ryback going. Therefore Ryback will win with an insane act of strength, shocking the World.

Will Ryback manage to do the unthinkable and Shellshock Mark Henry? Or will Henry make an emphatic statement, inducting him into the Hall of Pain?

Team Hell No defend their Tag Team Titles against Mr. Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler and debutant Big E Langston http://www.wwe.com/f/wysiwyg/image/2013/03/WM29/20130318_Light_WM_Pre_Match_HellNoDolphBigE.jpgThe demonic AJ may have got into the heads of Team Hell No, but they intend to defeat the revitalized tag team of Ziggler and Big E on Sunday.
Ever since their capture of the tag team titles in Boston at Night of Champions in September, Team Hell No have had a whacky ride as Champions, defeating teams such as Kofi Kingston and R-Truth, Rhodes Scholars and The Prime Time Players. At WrestleMania, Team Hell No encounter their biggest challenge, in the form of Dolph Ziggler,  Big E Langston, and of course the distraction of AJ at ringside. The match was announced two weeks prior to WrestleMania, as numerous attacks from Big E following Dolph Ziggler matches provoked it. Big E Langston is a significant X factor in the match, as he has yet to wrestle a match in WWE but has proven to be a dominant force, and with the mystery of his ability still hanging over Team Hell No, and many are questioning their ability to calculate what Big E Langston will do. And then you have AJ. A demonic being that may have got into the heads of both Kane and Big E. Remember, it was not long ago that AJ was in fact in a relationship with both Kane and Bryan on different occasions. With her presence at ringside, this could further put Team Hell No on edge. With days looming, the titles are in the balance.
OPINION: I do believe that Team Hell No has ran it's course. It is time for Kane to pursue a more respectable role, meanwhile Bryan should stick to what he does best, wrestling, not (well maybe a bit of) gimmicks. Dropping the titles to Big E and Dolph Ziggler will be a good move because then it starts of Big E's career well, and gives Dolph Ziggler an even more credible status. This, combined with AJ winning the Diva's title, and Ziggler winning the World title would be a great combo. (Would even be the start to my WWE Fantasy Booking. VIEW HERE) This match should be the disbandment (or at least the start of) to Team Hell No. I would have prefered a mixed tag match, with Team Hell No and Kaitlyn vs Big E, Ziggler and AJ, winner takes all the titles. That would be smarter booking.
PREDICTION: AJ Lee will cause a distraction and communication will collapse between Team Hell No, and they lose. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane could possibly happen then at Extreme Rules.

Will Team Hell No be able to retain the titles? What role will AJ play? Will Big E Langston's debut result in winning the Gold?

Randy Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show have a common enemy and look to coexist as they battle The Shield in a six-man tag team match
The Shield have been the cause of chaos for many months in the WWE, taking out people such as John Cena, Ryback, Chris Jericho and others. This Sunday, three dangerous competitors step in the ring with them.
Initially, The Shield were scheduled to face the team of Sheamus, Randy Orton and Ryback. However, Ryback found himself in a rivalry with Mark Henry, and they found a new partner, the World's Largest Athlete, The Big Show. At first, trust was an issue. Randy Orton said he could coexist with The Big Show, but due to Sheamus' storied history with Big Show, he was unable to trust Big Show, until Big Show fended off The Shield moments before they were to attack Orton and Sheamus. Orton, Sheamus and Show seem to be on the same page, but The Shield think otherwise. The Shield believe that they will win because it will be a different situation come Sunday, and they will be "scraps to the hounds of justice". This is one of The Shield's most toughest challenges, but they seem to have the confidence, but so do their opponents.
OPINION: Last year, Big Show, Sheamus and Randy Orton all had separate single matches at WrestleMania 28, now they are in a tag team match. WWE want to use this match to probably further enhance the legitimacy of The Shield, whilst booking three important superstars a respectable part on the card. This should be an interesting match, but I am not really sure that these are the guys to end The Shield, I hope that possibly a triple threat #1 contenders match comes out of this.
PREDICTION: Randy Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show will struggle to cope with The Shield, and out of frustration, communications will break down, and they will lose.

Will this finally be the end to The Shield? Or will Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show be scraps to the Hounds of Justice?

Alberto Del Rio defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Jack Swagger in what could be the start of a 'New America'
Del Rio's American Dream may or may not live on. This could be the start of Jack Swagger's New America.
Alberto Del Rio has been World Heavyweight Champion since the beginning of the year, and has proved he has a claim to call himself Champion with three victories over The Big Show. At Elimination Chamber just six weeks ago, Jack Swagger earned his title shot by winning a grueling Elimination Chamber match. Swagger accompanied by Zeb Colter then launched the 'We The People' campaign and said Del Rio did not deserve to live in the country, amongst other offensive things. Alberto Del Rio not only looks to make Swagger regret his words, but also avenge his friend Ricardo Rodriguez who's ankle was broken and repeatedly attacked by Swagger. This match is about being a Champion, a match about views on America. All over the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship, in a rivalry that has quickly gotten out of hand, and could be put to rest on Sunday.
OPINION: At first, I was not really a fan of the booking. However, as the feud gradually progressed I enjoyed it more, and We The People campaign was a great touch to intensify things. This should be a good match with two promising talents.
PREDICTION: This match seems hard to predict, but I think Alberto Del Rio will retain, and he will get his WrestleMania moment, meanwhile some of the heat on WWE caused by Colter and Swagger's controversial comments will be taken away because the We The People campaign will be worthless.

Will Alberto Del Rio continue to live the 'American Dream'? Or will it be the start of Jack Swagger's new America?

Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H II - No Holds Barred Match and Triple H's career is on the lineShawn Michaels will be in Triple H's corner for The Game's No Holds Barred Match against Brock Lesnar. No Holds Barred. A stipulation only fitting to warriors of the caliber of Brock Lesnar and Triple H. This time, the stakes are even higher, because Triple H enters MetLife Stadium on Sunday knowing that if he loses the match, he must retire.
When Brock Lesnar broke Triple H's arm at SummerSlam last year, the WWE Universe thought it was truly Game Over for The Game. But, when Vince McMahon had to have hip replacement following the attack at the hands of Brock Lesnar, Triple H had his reason to return.
At Old School RAW, Triple H returned, and made Brock Lesnar bleed following an exhilarating brawl. Triple H then challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania 29, but it was not to be what he expected. Heyman and Lesnar had convinced Triple H to sign the contract before the stipulation was announced. It took manipulating of course, and provoking, but Triple H was to sign the contract, before it was announced that he would be putting his career on the line in a No Holds Barred match.

Triple H is focused on revenge. On the final RAW prior to his WrestleMania match with Lesnar, his life-long friend Shawn Michaels announced he would be giving Triple H support at ringside. Last Summer, Shawn Michaels' arm was broken at the hands of Lesnar.
This is going to be a war. With No Holds Barred, all hell is going to break loose. Paul Heyman's words may come back to bite him, as he has provoked The Game and could truly act as a catalyst for Triple H's anger. The showdown at SummerSlam was big, this is BIGGER.
OPINION: This match has me extremely excited, I am really looking forward to watching a war with Lesnar and Triple H. The match is good, but the booking could be tough. Triple H could not possibly retire on a four match losing streak with such a storied career of his? And if Lesnar loses surely he could be degraded. But I think Lesnar could take a loss, but it would not show him to be a very dangerous force unless he picks up immediately after his loss. Nonetheless, I cannot wait to see these guys lock horns at WrestleMania!
PREDICTION: Triple H lives to fight another day, and emerges victorious after a ferocious war with Brock Lesnar.

Could this be the end of Triple H's storied career? Or will Lesnar and Heyman's plans backfire, for the Game to live on?

Undertaker's 20 - 0 Streak is in jeopardy, as he faces CM Punk, a man who has definitely gotten into his headThe Streak vs. The Best in the World. A match only fitting to take place on the Showcase of the Immortals. Undertaker vs. CM Punk LIVE from MetLife Stadium!
CM Punk prevailed in a fatal four way match against Randy Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show to earn his opportunity at breaking one the greatest Streak in sports entertainment. CM Punk got into the head of Undertaker, following the tragic death of Paul Bearer. CM Punk attacked Undertaker's half brother, Kane with the urn, which left Undertaker irate. As the weeks neared towards WrestleMania, Undertaker became angrier and angrier, Undertaker wanted the urn back, and he was certainly prepared to give CM Punk a huge beating at WrestleMania.
Undertaker says he may end the Streak, but "won't live to talk about it". Undertaker is prepared for redemption, CM Punk may have got into the head of The Undertaker that jeopardizes the streak. The most telling off all was on RAW, when Undertaker was interrupted by druids, and out came Paul Heyman dressed as Paul Bearer. Undertaker quickly rushed up the ramp, before realizing one of the druids could have been CM Punk. He grabbed one of them, and CM Punk attacked him. He used the urn numerous times, before the ultimate mockery, emptying the ashes out of the urn and putting them over The Undertaker. This truly has put The Undertaker in a state where the Streak could end on Sunday. It's going to be an epic match.

OPINION: This match is going to be great, but I think they should have made CM Punk dominate Kane to show he was a legitimate threat. But with the circumstances, it was okay for Kane to win how he did. I am really looking forward to this match, many do not think the Streak is in jeopardy. It may not be, but of course it is always a possibility, because all good things surely must come to an end....
PREDICTION: After an epic encounter, Undertaker puts CM Punk away, gets the urn back and pays tribute to Paul Bearer on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Will The Streak come to an end? Or will CM Punk pay for his actions?

Greatness vs. Redemption: The Rock vs. John Cena II for the WWE Championship Last year, The Rock handed John Cena his most devastating defeat at WrestleMania 28. But it was to light a fuel in John Cena, that has him chasing Redemption this time round. To get redemption, he steps into the ring with the WWE Champion, The Rock.
The paths that John Cena and The Rock have taken to WrestleMania are possibly destined. At the Royal Rumble, John Cena won the Royal Rumble, and The Rock put an end to CM Punk's historic WWE Championship reign. Then, John Cena was to do something he had never done before in his career, defeat CM Punk, setting up the rematch of all rematches, Rock vs. Cena for the WWE Championship.
This match is pivotal for John Cena, the leader of the CeNation is certain that he will and he must win. Meanwhile, The Rock is going to kick his ass. Greatness vs. Redemption, that's what its all about. The heated promo at Old School RAW really set this match up, it was the pivotal beginning and foreground to the WrestleMania showdown. Then, when the two took questions from a Hall of Fame panel, things got more intense. But The Rock had the last laugh, with a Rockbottom. It was a wake up call for John Cena, as he realized that could be his fate at WrestleMania.
The two cut separate promos on the final RAW, both were certain of their intentions before WrestleMania, which gets this hyped up.
Greatness vs. Redemption. This is it.

OPINION: Yes, this may be predictable. But still, think. You have two of the biggest stars in wrestling going one on one for the second time. The possibilities of it are exciting, it is Rock vs. Cena, anything could happen. The build-up may have sucked, but The Rock and John Cena are determined to put on a show. The speculation of the Cena heel turn does not seem plausible, but you never know...
PREDICTION: The Rock goes for the five-knuckle shuffle and when he runs John Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment. John Cena wins and holds the WWE Championship for the first time in a long time.

Will John Cena be able to bounce back from the most devastating loss in his career? Will The Rock prove he is The Greatest yet again? It is Rock vs. Cena II. It is Greatness vs. Redemption...

Summary of Predictions:
The Miz def. Wade Barrett; Tons of Funk & Funkadactyls def. Bellas and Rhodes Scholars, Ryback def. Mark Henry; Fandango def. Chris Jericho; Big E and Dolph Ziggler def. Team Hell No; The Shield def. Sheamus, Show and Orton; Del Rio def. Swagger, Triple H def. Lesnar; Undertaker def. CM Punk; John Cena def. The Rock.

All these questions get answered at MetLife Stadium at WrestleMania 29
It is entertainment's grandest stage.
The glory, the grandeur, the spectacle that is WrestleMania.
It all changes on Sunday.
It all changes, at WrestleMania...

...because legends live forever.

Enjoy WrestleMania 29! Thanks for reading this article.
