2012: Year in Review by Nisar Khan - #Nisars2012Review

2012. The year they thought would be the last, but instead was one of the best.

This year has been memorable. From a spectacular Olympics, to an insane 120,000 feet skydive. 2012 has evoked emotion like no other.
There have been lots of highlights from this year, and to review a memorable year, I will host an event, #Nisars2012Review via my Twitter account @iNisarKhan.
The event will take place LIVE on New Year's Eve at 8pm GMT (3/2CT for US) and will consist of many things to recap the year.
I will look at the best highlights of the year, Tweeting the best bits, inserting media, and also asking for the audience opinions, so we all can reflect on this year. The concept of the review is to look back and remember the highs and lows which this year has given us. So I hope you can all be there.
This will be a great way to spend some time of your New Year's Eve, reflecting on this year, and preparing for the next.
The event will also include interactive polls, opinions, voting and prize giveaways. As you may be aware, my Twitter account reached 500 followers recently, so I will be celebrating that with a prize giveaway, which will take place during the event.
If you have any questions, feel free to Tweet me @iNisarKhan
There will also be an awards part of the event. Where I present awards for certain aspects of the year. Nominations have been taken, so you can now vote on the right side of this page. Remember to scroll down as there are a few polls.

2012 has been a memorable year, and #Nisars2012Review will be an ideal way to look back on it, whilst getting your opinion heard, getting interactive and also the chance of winning prizes. So why not join in, have fun and enjoy New Year's Eve with a memorable review! I hope you can all join in!

The Capital FM Arena in Nottingham was packed to the rafters on Saturday night to witness Carl Froch defend his IBF Super-Welterweight World Title against Yusaf Mack.
There was a vibrant atmosphere in the arena, with Yusaf Mack entering the ring against all odds, and a tough crowd. The intensity cranked up furthermore when hometown boy Carl Froch made his entrance. He was met with a huge ovation as the adrenaline rushed through him, ready to begin the bout.
It took some time for the boxers to fully engage, but when they did, Carl Froch gained the upper hand. It was in two occasions in the first round when the crowd were on their feet as Froch was on the verge of winning, but Mack was saved by the bell.
The second round commenced, and the crowd thought he had it again. But Mack had yet another lifeline, as he was saved by the bell.
Mack was down for the 10 in the third round, following an impactful body shot by Froch, Mack was down to his knees and counted for 10.
Carl Froch produced a dominant display on Saturday night, defeating a very unprepared Yusaf Mack by KO. With Carl Froch's career looking stronger than ever, and with retirement completely out of sight for the Cobra, what is next for Carl Froch?

Premier League: Liverpool FC vs. Stoke City - A win is essential for the Reds in this game.

Liverpool have not had the best of starts to the season, following several losses and lack of form.
And following Thursday's 3 - 2 loss at home in the Europa League, you'd imagine that confidence will be quite low for a Liverpool FC fan.
However, I have seen some very promising performances over the last few games, starting with Suarez. He has hit some real form for Liverpool at the moment, and it may come at a crucial time.
It is essential now that we convert this great form into some points, taking the Reds up the table.
Stoke City will prove some challenge to the Reds, as in any game, but this is quite an opportunity for Liverpool to get a healthy win and get momentum going.
I was impressed with Glen Johnson on the right wing, making great runs and making plenty of opportunities.
There has also been some promising performances with Joe Allen, Gerrard, Jonjo Shelvey and Stewart Downing. Borini can be added to that list, and I hope Sterling can get some form going too.
With the opportunity striking at a pivotal time, a victory for The Reds will be essential, and something to get the season going. It will be a huge morale boost for us all, fans, players and staff.
I am looking forward to this game!

ICC Twenty20 World Cup Final

This Sunday, the 2012 ICC Twenty20 World Cup draws to a pivotal climax, as the host nation Sri Lanka take on West Indies for the best accolade in cricket, becoming World T20 Champions.
Sri Lanka as a nation have really offered a vibrant atmosphere for many games, making this World Cup quite unforgettable.
We have witnessed various shocks along the way, including Sri Lanka taking Pakistan out of the Tournament. And for such an achievement, they do deserve a final, with all the more spotlight upon them.
And their opposition on Sunday, West Indies.
A spectacular display was put on by them, scoring a gobsmacking 205 - 4. After defeating Australia in the somewhat manner of which they did, they set up a perfect final for Sunday.
Sri Lanka will have a vast majority of the fans on their side, we have seen how vibrant and passionate these fans were throughout the cup, and for the final they will definitely come out in their masses to support their heroes like Sangakaara, Malinga etc.
The only thing left, is to watch these two deserved teams do battle on the Grand Stage of Cricket. This should be a fantastic game, expect a vibrant atmosphere, and expect these teams to put it all out on the field come Sunday.

FIFA 13: The Long Standing Front Runner of Football Gaming delivers again

This week, EA Sports released yet another football game. This time, it was FIFA 13. Breaking a sales record in North America, this game was sure to be another great one, as Electronic Arts added several more features as well as smoother gameplay and all round improvements.
Now, people who don't play Fifa think it is silly to buy the game each and every year. But what they do not understand is how well EA actually work throughout the year to ensure that this game blows the previous out of the water.
FIFA games never seem to fail, and yet again, this has got all football and gaming fans playing this game. If you have got FIFA 12 and you think FIFA 13 is not worth getting, think again.
This has many new features, and it is just a magnificent game that should stay at the top of the charts for quite a while.

Thanks for reading.
