UFC 158 LIVE from The Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The bout featured mainly Welterweights, with the three fights at the top of the card being enthralling Welterweight battles. Results, coverage and opinion up now!

Ellenberger capitalized on the opportunity when Marquardt missed a head kick. Ellenberger got him backed against the fence and then unloaded several shots before the stoppage, and a big win for Jake Ellenberger, who could have climbed the rankings with that win.

Johnny Hendricks def. Carlos Condit via Unanimous Decision
Fight of the night for sure. An outstanding bout that received a standing ovation from the 20,000 present at Bell Centre. There was fast paced action from the outset, with both going for significant strikes, distinctively Condit looking to land a few flying knees, while Hendricks looked to land his lethal left fist. Not only the striking, but the grappling was also a significant part in the bout. Both fighters showed that they can take the shots, with several big strikes but they continued to fight on. Both were resilient, and that is why it lasted the distance. Hendricks punches and grappling to control Condit was the element to his victory, and as the battle continued straight up to the bell, Hendricks was victorious. The fight wasScreenshot2013-03-16at8 unbelievably close, and many members of the audience were unhappy with the decision. An enthralling fight, definitely Fight of the Night, and now this should put Hendricks right in line for a title shot. Hendricks went on to call out GSP, and says he will even fly a referee out to his house if he needs to. Meanwhile, Condit had the support of the crowd in Montreal, from coming very close to beating Hendricks. What a fight!

Georges St-Pierre def. Nick Diaz via Unanimous decision to retain UFC Welterweight Championship
The long anticipated wait to GSP vs. Diaz was finally over. After over 18 months of anticipation, finally Diaz and St-Pierre went one-on-one in the Octagon. It was a heavily one sided first round, with St-Pierre dominating, and taking the match where he wanted. GSP spent a lot of time keeping Diaz grounded, and a frustrated Diaz showed his anger by swinging for GSP after the bell had went. Throughout the whole fight, Diaz was unable to get in the flow of things, Georges St-Pierre was dominant in all aspects. A lot of the fight in the latter rounds was stood-up, yet Diaz did not take any advantage with his boxing abilities. As it entered the Championship rounds, Diaz was able to resist more takedowns, but he did not have any offensive improvement, and that was to his downfall. A dominant display by Georges St-Pierre, ending a bitter rivalry. Shortly after the fight, Diaz hinted at retirement saying "I think I'm done with mixed martial arts, I'm tired of getting banged up." The rivalry did not end bitter, as both shook hands and hugged after their fight. Now this already brings up more questions and assumptions about what is next in the UFC's Welterweight division. Will GSP go on to face Hendricks? Will Diaz retire?

Awesome night of fights from Montreal. Despite GSP's dominating, the three fights at the top of the card were very enjoyable. A preliminary bout, Cote vs. Voelker was also a great fight, one of the best of the night. Condit vs. Hendricks was indefinitely Fight Of The Night, the two warriors left it all out in the Octagon. So as the curtains draw, GSP is still Champion, we have a new contender, and we continue with more and more fights! Welterweights at their prime, tonight at UFC 158!
