The Capital FM Arena in Nottingham was packed to the rafters on Saturday night to witness Carl Froch defend his IBF Super-Welterweight World Title against Yusaf Mack.
There was a vibrant atmosphere in the arena, with Yusaf Mack entering the ring against all odds, and a tough crowd. The intensity cranked up furthermore when hometown boy Carl Froch made his entrance. He was met with a huge ovation as the adrenaline rushed through him, ready to begin the bout.
It took some time for the boxers to fully engage, but when they did, Carl Froch gained the upper hand. It was in two occasions in the first round when the crowd were on their feet as Froch was on the verge of winning, but Mack was saved by the bell.
The second round commenced, and the crowd thought he had it again. But Mack had yet another lifeline, as he was saved by the bell.
Mack was down for the 10 in the third round, following an impactful body shot by Froch, Mack was down to his knees and counted for 10.
Carl Froch produced a dominant display on Saturday night, defeating a very unprepared Yusaf Mack by KO. With Carl Froch's career looking stronger than ever, and with retirement completely out of sight for the Cobra, what is next for Carl Froch?
