Looks like it is game over, once and for all, for Flappy Bird users. |
On Sunday, Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen shocked the World with his Tweet:
I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.
— Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014
With the application now unavailable to download, users can still play it with the awareness of their privilege to play a game that millions no longer can download. Be warned, should you delete the app, you may never be able to play it again.
Ah, the Internet entertains once again with another bizarre sighting. iPhones with Flappy Bird were being bid on for $9,000 - if only it was real.
But why on Earth did Dong Nguyen decide to take it off. How could it ruin his "simple life". Did he really take the reactions here so seriously?
This however, has opened an opportunity for other App developers to make some easy money with another version of Flappy Bird. There's a big gap to fill, and plenty of profit to gain.
During it's brief stint, Flappy Bird swept the technology World, but this won't be the end, there no doubt should be another version coming soon.
And during Flappy Bird's rise to the top, the app developers profited with an estimated $50,000 made on a daily basis - how does that affect one's simple life, I don't know.
This time round it seems that the seemingly fake or over-exaggerated frustrations and intents to damage developers were taken seriously.
Maybe this comes as a blessing in disguise too, as one click and delete of the app could save you from Flappy Bird frustration - the right lifestyle move?
It's game over for Flappy Bird - at least for the time being.
